  • Description: Tyler is one of the most popular guys at Forks High School. He is very much a stereotypical jock: good looking, arrogant, and not very intelligent. After Bella turns him down, he shows interest in Lauren Mallory (Twilight, pg. 119, 121).

  Tyler is one of Bella’s peers at Forks High School, and is in her government class (Twilight, pg. 60.) One wintery day he is driving too fast and loses control of his blue and black van, and crashes into Bella and Edward (Twilight, pg. 56.) He is the most harmed by the accident with many injuries to his head (Twilight, pg. 60.)

  After the accident Tyler continually tries to make it up to Bella. He attempts to ask her to the Spring Dance one day in the school parking lot (Twilight, pg. 77). When she turns him down, he assures her that he will take her to prom (Twilight, pg. 78). He goes to the spring dance with Lauren (Twilight, pg. 79,) but on the day of the prom he arrives at the Swan home and is surprised by the news that Bella is already going with Edward Cullen.
